2. EXFOLIATE
Exfoliate is a process to removes dead skin cells from your skin’s outer layer and encourages new healthier skin cells. Exfoliation can leave your skin looking brighter and improve the effectiveness of topical skin care products by enhancing absorption. There are two types of exfoliators: physical and chemical.
Physical exfoliation : it involves physical components such as beads or grains, and a brush. For example, face scrub. Some scrubs can have incredibly large grains or beads which actually irritate the skin. So make sure you use a light and smaller grains or beads (SIORIS-my soft grain scrub)
Chemical Exfoliation : 2 types of chemical exfoliators. either AHAs (Alpha Hydroxy Acids) and BHAs (Beta Hydroxy Acids). For beginner you can use with low percentage first (Pixi-glow tonic / byWishtrend-Mandelic acid). No need to cleanse your face when putting this chemical acids.
Toner is used to complete the cleansing of the skin, effectively removing impurities that remain after washing your face, refresh, control oil and moisturize the face. Used after cleansing the face and before applying moisturizer. A toner will helps rebalance your skin’s pH. Highly recommended to use a hydrating toner. Why?? It can focus on extra hydration and moisturize your skin.
(By the way, Toner tak wajib ya. You can skip if you don’t want to apply a toner. But toner akan membantu other products more effective, for example face essence, serum etc.)

This was my first time ever trying a product containing galactomyces. This essence contains the same type of yeast as the famous SK-II essence. As the concentration in SK-II essence is 90%, this Secret Key contains 94% galactomyces. It also has Niacinamide for brightening and anti-aging effect, Adenosine for anti-aging, grapefruit seed extract for antioxidant, Perilla Ocymoides Leaf Extract for anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory and Rose Water for hydration. Suitable for all skin types.
Galactomyces is a type of yeast and has the ability to increase product absorption and also has known antioxidant effects. It has been shown to improve sebum levels in oily skin, as well as brighten and tackle acne. Studies have also show that galactomyce causes epidermal cells to produce hyaluronic acid, meaning it has great moisturising properties.
It comes in a glass bottle and metallic silver cap with watery texture and rose scent but the scent is very mild and I barely notice a scent.
MY THOUGHT:-
This is my first FTE so I won’t be able to compare with other brands. My reason for trying this FTE is because of the affordable price and minimal ingredients and contains 94% of Galactomyces Ferment Filtrate. The texture is very watery and absorbed really quickly. I applied 3 layers of essence at a time for enough hydration. Personally, I really loved it and enjoy using this as an extra hydration for my skin. It didn’t cause any irritation or redness to my skin so far. I like galactomyces and niacinamide, both contribute to skin brightening and I found these claims to be true. This is a great essence to have in your routine. But if you are sensitive with rose, you need to avoid this edition and use the original or 24k gold edition. Overall, This essence is a pretty good product and I’m willing to repurchase it.

1.PHYSICAL EXFOLIATION
Physical Exfoliation was the only exfoliator we had to work with and it involves physical components such as beads or grains, and a brush. The great thing about physical exfoliators is that your skin feels the softest it has ever felt and going to show you quick results as they are literally using force to remove the dead skin cells. They also generally have less chemical interactions with other skin care products as well as promoting blood circulation through the face. But it can be too harsh for some skin types. Some face scrubs can cause micro-tears in the skin. Some scrubs can have incredibly large grains or beads which actually irritate the skin and can cause redness. Please use a light and a smaller grains or beads.

There are two main types of chemical exfoliators, AHAs and BHAs. BHAs also have anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties—a more in-depth exfoliation in general. This type of chemical exfoliator is recommended with those with acne-prone, oily skin. If blackheads are a concern, stick to BHAs.

1.Panaskan minyak. Tumis hirisan bawang merah sehingga naik bau dan sedikit kekuningan.
