TEXTURE & SCENT

It comes out in a clear color gel, very lightweight gel that absorbs quickly into the skin without leaving any oily or sticky feeling. In terms of the scent, you will be glad to know that the gel does not have any scent to it, same as what they claimed ‘Fragrance-Free’.

MY THOUGH

I was very excited to try out this aloe gel after my 3 days holidays, its good to treat my sunburns and I really like it as it is good for soothing and calming my skin. I absolutely love this gel. It’s very light and absorbs very quickly. The texture is very good for my combination – oily skin. I’m using this aloe gel only at morning routine and take a large pea size but not everyday and depends on my skin condition. I felt very cooled down and moisturised. I love how effective Aloe Propolis Gel can reduce any active inflammation or redness.  It hydrates well without any greasy feel and my skin feels smooth and supple after application. But I think this gel wasn’t moisturising enough for extra dry skin people unless if you are layering with another cream moisturizer or mix with a few drops of face oil to keep everything nice and moisturized. However, if you have oily or combination skin that borders on the oilier side and have active acne or sensitive skin this could very well be a great daily moisturizer and it’s worth using this Benton Aloe Propolis Soothing Gel. Luckily, this aloe gel didn’t gave me any breakouts, irritations and allergic reactions for my skin.

For my final though, the Benton Aloe Propolis Soothing Gel is one of the best product for those who are having sensitive, acne and redness skin because it can keep your skin calm and under control.

It does a great job especially when my skin became very irritated, breakout and inflamed from over-exfoliation. This is a mild, gentle, creamy cleanser with a satisfying foamy texture that feels luxurious on the skin. I would highly recommend this cleanser to sensitive skin people and people who are always using heavy makeup, very gentle on skin but highly effective at removing dirt and makeup but I still prefer using any cleansing oil or balm first as a double cleansing. The best part is this cleanser doesn’t contain fragrance which is good for sensitive skin person. This cleanser leaves my skin so soft and smooth everytime I’m using to cleanse my face. I doesn’t feel tight or dry after using this and the best thing is no skin breakout and I have no problem at all using this face cleanser.

HOW TO GET RID OF PUFFY EYES AND DARK CIRCLES UNDER YOUR EYES?

Skincare Tips

DARK CIRCLES

A good night’s sleep alone won’t get rid of those dark circles under your eyes.

The appearance of dark circles under the eyes can make a person look older than they really are. They are usually caused by genetics, age, seasonal allergies or maybe your lifestyle behaviors (smoking, drinking alcohol, etc). Lack of sleep increases venous congestion; fluid build-up leads to pooled blood in those superficial blood vessels, making dark circles look even darker when you’re tired.

It can be more apparent in people with fair skin, and those with very little subcutaneous fat supporting the area under the lower lid. Those with darker skin tones produce extra pigment around the eye area, which can cause a general darkening of the skin under the eyes and on the lids.

Genetics : are the biggest culprit! Family history also plays a part in developing dark circles under your eyes. It can be an inherited trait seen early in childhood, and may worsen as you age or slowly disappear.

Age : as you get older, your skin becomes thinner. Skin loses collagen and thins, so veins show through more prominently. As this occurs, the dark blood vessels beneath your skin become more visible causing the area below your eyes to darken. Sunbathing speeds up this process by breaking down collagen and mottling skin color.

Seasonal Allergies : allergic or eye dryness can trigger dark circles. When you have an allergic reaction, your body release histamines as a response to harmful bacteria. To determine why your circles happen, gently stretch the skin under your eyes. If that area becomes darker, the circles are probably due to genetics or aging. If the color doesn’t change, UV rays or allergies are probably the cause.

PUFFY EYES

Puffy eyes generally result from a variety of factors, including over-consumption of salt which causes fluid retention, allergies that can cause inflammation and swelling, sinus problems, dehydration, fatigue and lack of sleep, stress, crying, aging, and inherited facial features.

With aging, eye puffiness can be caused in part when fatty tissue that ordinarily protects the eye inside the bony eye socket begins to push forward and fill in spaces below the eye.

Lack of sleep makes puffy eyes worse too because of the pooling of fluid in the area.

When we’re sleeping, we don’t blink. And this is part of the reason why eye puffiness develops when we wake up at the morning. The closed, non-blinking eyelids during sleep potentially can swell in certain people prone to this problem. So in the mornings, you could wake up with unusually puffy, swollen eyelids. When you wake up and start blinking, some of the puffiness gradually goes away. As a result, puffiness is often worse in the morning and resolves itself by the afternoon as the accumulated fluid drains with the help of gravity and time.

How to reduces puffy eyes and dark circle:-

1.Get Enough Sleep : Good sleeping help minimize dark under-eye circles, no matter what the cause. Allow yourself 7 – 8 hours of rest to prevent dark circles from appearing.

2. Using Cream specially formulated for eyes : retinol, kojic acid, green tea, vitamin C etc can be helpful. To help skin-brightening products work their best, avoid the sun and don’t skin your daily sunscreen.

3. Applying iced compresses : can help reduce swelling and shrink dilated blood vessels. This can reduce the appearance of puffiness and help eliminate dark circles. Wrap a few ice cubes in a clean washcloth and apply to your eyes. You can also dampen a washcloth with cold water and apply it to the skin under your eyes for 20 minutes for the same effect. Repeat this process if the cloth becomes warm or if the ice melts.

4. Applying cucumber slices : The antioxidants and flavonoids in cucumber help in reducing redness, swelling and irritation. You can place a slice of cucumber on each eye and let it stay for 30 minutes. Feel nice and refreshed afterwards!

5. Applying green or black tea bags : Tea contains caffeine and antioxidants that can help stimulate blood circulation, shrink your blood vessels, and reduce liquid retention beneath your skin. Soak 2 tea bags in hot water for five minutes. Let them chill in the refrigerator for 15 to 20 minutes. Once they’re cold, apply the teabags to your closed eyes for 10 to 20 minutes. After removing, rinse your eyes with cool water.

6. Reducing salt : reduce salt in your diet like food.

7. Eating potassium-rich foods : such as bananas, to eliminate excess fluids in your body.

8. Laser treatments and Vitamin K : Laser treatments may reduce the look of dark circles due to broken blood vessels or any skincare products containing vitamin K can also help.

9. Makeup Concealer : A concealer one shade lighter than your skin tone can help disguise under-eye circles. A concealer with an SPF of 15 or higher provides double benefits. If your skin tends to be oily or acne-prone, use an oil-free concealer.

THE BENEFITS OF USING SLEEPING MASK IN YOUR SKINCARE ROUTINE

Skincare Tips

Raise your hand if you’ve been personally using sleeping mask? Sleeping masks are important to add into your skincare routine especially if you are dry skin people, so that your skin is ultra-moisturized when you wake up. Their formulas are long-lasting and intensely hydrating, but still comfortable enough to sleep with them on. They’re created to deeply moisturize your skin, much more so than a regular moisturizer. You can also find sleep masks that target concerns like brightening and anti-aging.

They easily absorb while you sleep, so you don’t have to wash them off in the morning and can wake up with rejuvenated skin.

My nightly routine of cleansing, toning, and moisturizing has helped me a lot but the addition of an overnight mask has worked more magic for my combination skin and acne scar as my skin concern. Remember, if you take good care of your skin today, your future self will thank you!

Here are a few reasons why you need sleeping masks in your skincare routine.

1.Intense moisture

When you are sleeping at night, it’s much easier to have a concentrated amount of moisture on your skin, making the application much more effective and uninterrupted. Doing a mask before bed is one of the most low-maintenance ways you can drastically improve your skin’s health and complexion. Sleeping mask will lock in other skincare that have been layered under the sleep mask.

2. Wake up with glowing skin

If you leave your skin covered in makeup or neglected without a mask, you can develop dry or flaky skin, or dull at best. But to achieve glowing vibrant skin, you have to put a little magic on your skin and let the mask do the work while you rest.

3. Keep it clean

Perhaps the most common way that people clean their skin is through wipes and cleansers, but did you know that a sleeping mask can make your skin even cleaner? Many masks contain antimicrobial and/or anticbacterial agents and clarifiers that clear your skin, and protect against new bacteria as you sleep, making sure when you wake up in the morning you are greeted with a bright face and not blemishes or acne.

12 best sleeping masks that help you to get healthy and glowing skin:-
